WATER QUALITY REPORT
Below are the past issues of the Annual Water Quality Report produced and distributed by the Clayton County Water Authority. The report gives a detailed analysis of the water that residents of Clayton County consume each day.
The creation and distribution of water quality reports was a centerpiece of the 1996 amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act, passed by the U.S. Congress. The act was passed to encourage more public involvement in the water treatment and distribution process. All community water systems in the United States are required to "prepare and distribute a brief annual water quality report summarizing information regarding source, any detected contaminants, compliance, and educational opportunities." The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) has asked all water utilities in the state to submit and distribute a CCR annually, since 1998.
